Parikshak
An internal audit for a small business

See how your controls hold up, one department at a time

Parikshak audits one department at a time, from the signed log one of our products keeps for it. It plans the audit and rates the risk of each process. It tests each control on a random sample of the log's entries. It rates each finding and writes the report and the working papers. When your own auditor asks you for something, it helps you get the answer ready.

Not on sale yet. Parikshak is an aid to internal review. It is not a statutory audit, and it gives no audit opinion or assurance of any kind. Only a registered statutory auditor can give those.

How it works

From a product's log to a report you can act on.

1

You bring the log

Each of our products keeps a signed log of who did what, and when. You export it and bring it in. Parikshak checks the file first. Then it checks that no entry was changed, taken out or added after it was signed. It reads nothing until both checks pass.

2

Veda plans the audit

You pick a department and a period. Veda sets out each process, how risky it is and each control on it. You approve the plan and its scope before any testing starts.

3

Lars tests each control

Parikshak picks a sample of the log's entries at random. The riskier the process, the bigger the sample. Anyone can pick the same sample again from the same log. Lars says why each problem it finds happened.

4

Ximena reviews, and you decide

Ximena reviews each working paper. Parikshak runs each test again and won't let a paper pass if anything differs. Then you issue the report. For each finding, you give your plan to fix it, or you accept the risk.

What you get

Everything runs on your computer, and the dashboard opens in your browser.

A report with the method in it

Each finding says what the control should do, what the tests found, why it happened, what risk it leaves, and what you'll do about it. The report lists every working paper and the frameworks the method follows. It doesn't claim to meet any of them.

Samples anyone can check

The sample size comes from how risky the process is. The items are picked at random from a starting value made from the audit and the log. Give someone the same log and they'll pick the same items.

The controls every one of our products runs

It tests that each agent's command carries that agent's proof. It tests that the check before acting ran first. It tests that only you gave a delegation, with an end date within a year. It tests that only a person took a file out of quarantine, set up a mailbox or said where the business is.

Help with your auditor

Paste your auditor's request in their own words. Tendai works out what they're asking for and gets a response pack ready from the log. Ximena checks it. You download it and send it yourself.

Different agents on every step

The agent who plans an audit doesn't test it. The agent who tests doesn't review. No agent checks its own work.

Every file checked first

Each file is checked before anything reads it. A file that fails is kept aside where nothing opens it. This is a check for active content, not an antivirus.

You decide what matters

These are always yours. You can't hand them to an agent.

  • Approving an audit's plan and scope.
  • Releasing any sealed details about the people who work for you.
  • Issuing a report.
  • Accepting the risk in a finding instead of fixing it.
  • Recording that you sent a pack to your auditor.

Before you decide any of these, the dashboard shows you the internal audit notice. You tick a box to say you've read it.

What it doesn't do

We'd rather you knew this before you buy.

  • It isn't a statutory audit. It gives no audit opinion or assurance of any kind. Only a registered statutory auditor can give those.
  • It doesn't say whether your business complies with any law. It tests the controls your products run.
  • It tests only what a product's log shows, for the period and samples it states. It doesn't observe anything or ask anyone.
  • It can't test a product's own checks, such as whether an invoice adds up. Those aren't in the log in a form it can test.
  • It reads another product only from a log you export and bring in. Where that product's agents ran commands, the export must include its agent proof key. Parikshak uses it for the check and doesn't keep it.
  • It doesn't change anything in the products it audits. It doesn't fix what it finds, and it sends nothing to your auditor.
  • A control with no finding isn't proof the control works.
  • It's for one business, on one computer, for one person at a time.

Where your data is kept

Your records are kept in a Parikshak folder on your computer.

  • Nothing from your logs or your auditor's requests is uploaded to us.
  • Parikshak tells your other products nothing, and takes nothing from them.
  • The reading is done by your own Claude, on your own Claude account.
  • Our servers get a daily licence check-in (a licence ID and an installation ID), and your update downloads.

What you need

  • Claude Code, signed in to a Claude subscription that includes it.
  • Node.js 20 or newer.
  • macOS, Windows or Linux.
  • Another of our products whose work you want audited.

The people in your logs. A log names who did what. Parikshak keeps it on your computer, and your Claude reads what each agent's job needs.

Why it is built this way

  1. 1Pay once

You buy Parikshak once. There is no subscription to manage. The licence does not run out. It comes with a year of free upgrades. When that year ends, it keeps working on the last version you were given.

  2. 2Your data stays on your computer

Parikshak runs on your own computer. Your own Claude subscription does the thinking. You don't upload your data to another cloud service. Our servers never see your data. They hold only your licence.

  3. 3Get more from your Claude subscription

Parikshak runs on your Claude subscription. You can use the same Claude for other work in your business too.

You need a Claude subscription that includes Claude Code. Claude is made by Anthropic. Polyglyph Analytica is independent of Anthropic.
